Prior to setting up Alcoba Films, Abigail worked freelance in independent and broadcast film and television production for 7 years on a variety of projects ranging from short films and promos to TV series and feature films including Ken Loach's Sweet Sixteen, Annie Griffin's The Book Group and multi award-winning shorts such as Peter Mackie Burns Milk, Angela Murray’s The Choir, Nick Higgins' Hidden Gifts and many more.

Abigail has worked with many award-winning Scottish film and television drama production companies including Antonine Films, Autonomi, Brighter Pictures, Gabriel Films, Ideal World, Lansdowne Productions, Mandragora Productions, Pirate Productions, Saltire Film and TV and Wark Clements

During her freelance career, Abigail has also directed and produced numerous corporate and third sector film projects for a diverse variety of clients including London 2012, Glasgow South Regeneration Agency, PHEW!, Reid Kerr College and Culture & Sport Glasgow.
